Giving

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

- Matthew 6:21

Why we give.

God is generous and so he calls us to be as well.  What we do with what God has given us shows the world where our hearts are at and helps proclaim the gospel. We want to glorify God with every area of our lives, and that includes what we do with our finances.

Ways To Give

Give Online

You can give directly from the Church app and give to a number of different ministry areas. The most common is our Unified item, which is basically the 'general' fund item in our annual budget. Through the app you can set it up as a one time gift or as a recurring gift. You can download the app from the App Play Store on your device. Search for 'The Church App' and install, then select or type in 'First Baptist Church Pocatello' for our page. Now you may go to the giving page. Your information is secure and is not shared with anyone for any reason.

Give In Person

We take time to worship through our tithes and offerings in the worship service each week, but you don't have to wait until then. There are 2 offering boxes located at the rear of the Worship Center where you can drop cash or check into if you so desire.

YEAR-END TAX DONATIONS
As you plan for your year-end contributions, please consider VALLEY MISSION, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization located at 442 N. Arthur Avenue, Pocatello, Idaho (next to First Baptist Church).
THE PURPOSE OF VALLEY MISSION IS SIMPLE-TO RESTORE HOPE TO HURTING PEOPLE!
Valley Mission, along with our food pantry, also provides a warming shelter, community referrals, hotel vouchers, bus tickets, utility bill assistance, and gas monies (when funds are available). Valley Missions long-term plans are to provide temporary housing, life coaches for our clients who want to improve their lives through education, resume building, job interview practices, budgeting, parenting classes, and more. We are aware of the many wonderful organizations you could contribute to; however, we would like you to consider a few statistics regarding hunger, poverty, and homeless populations in our Pocatello Valley.
In 2023, Valley Mission served over 9600 families (36,000+ people) and moved over 400,000 pounds of food through the food pantry. Our greatest population growth is our seniors, whose ends do not meet their needs. These numbers continue to grow in 2022. With your contribution, we will continue to grow and improve in our mission to provide support and services and restore hope to hurting people. Any gift large or small will go right back into our community and will improve the lives of so many in need. Thank you for considering Valley Mission for your *2023 year-end donation.
